At Floma, all our team knows the importance of giving back to society. Being from different parts of Maharashtra, our team has a sense of gratitude towards the Pune city and the work we’re doing with Nelda is our way of giving back to this lovely city.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative with Nelda has the aim to plant and maintain as many trees as possible in the urban hills of Pune. Following the ‘urban forestation’ methodology, we’re currently working at Hanuman Tekdi, S.B. Road, Pune. We’ve planted and are managing over 1500+ trees here.
All this is possible with our customers’ support.
Nelda Foundation is a registered Section 8 non-profit company, founded and managed by the Deshpande Family, which runs Deshpee Group, the holding company of Floma.
Nelda aims to inspire the youth to take action towards the green change in our country, and we’re proud that we are a part of this movement.
Nelda is working continuously for tree plantation & nurturing since June 2016.
Nelda not only thinks, but acts. Nelda has over 100+ active volunteers.
Nelda is helping spread awarness about green activities in Pune & around.
Many people ask us why we’re doing this. Well, we don’t do this because we have to. We do this because WE SHOULD. Companies like Floma, especially those working in the real estate and home decor sector, have a special responsibility towards the community. At Floma, we create beautiful homes. Similar to that ideology, we want to create a beautiful community as well. Hence, we chose tree plantation in Pune as our cause because it helps us restore the environmental balance and beautify the city as well. We thank our customers for their continuous support as this is possible only due to their support. With every interior project we complete, we plant 11 trees.
